So yesterday was a rest day. A day for my muscles to repair and strengthen so I can run farther and faster.
It's also a day that I can make up the missing sleep that I miss when I get up at 5:30 every morning to be ready for school. Yes, ladies and gents, I said FIVE THIRTY!!! I have to report to work no later than 6:55. Yes, I realize that that number, that correlates with work, starts with a SIX. It's brutally early- for the students, the teachers, the janitors, the administrators, and everyone else involved.
So yesterday, I chose to nap on my rest day and slept from 4-6. It was very nice.
Today is an easy 2(ish) so that I can be ready for my race on Sunday. I will take another rest day tomorrow so that I'm fully ready to run like the wind (10 minute or so miles :)) and race that 10K. After my run, I get to go out to eat with some family. My cousin graduates from NCState on Saturday, and we're celebrating by eating at one of his favorite restaurants. It's actually better that we celebrate his graduation on Friday instead of Saturday because I can really eat/drink what I want and stay out later than I will want to on Saturday (because of my race on Sunday).
Enough rambling for today. I will give a full race update by Monday at the latest!
